This new job requires someone with project management skills to guide certain types of machine or groups of machines through the manufacturing process. It is a fully office based job.
The Job Purpose
1. To manage a team of 6 Engineering Sales proffesionals
2. To prepare Estimates for orders placed
3. To project manage large contracts (typ £100k - £500k) and "specials" from order to despatch.
4. To assist with the creation and maintenance of bills of materials on the MRP/ERP System.
The Duties
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Contract Sales Engineer will assume full responsibility for project managing selected sales orders ("projects") and formulate project plans in line with customers' requirements.
Be the main point of contact for the customer and all internal departments.
Co-ordinate Contract Review meetings, customer visits and machine test programs as necessary.
Ensure all documentation for the project is kept up to date and stored in a logical manner.
Liaise and co-ordinate projects as they move through sales, design, BOM, production planning, CNC programming, purchasing, production and despatch departments. Also coordinate installation, commission, testing and any after sales services if required.
The creation and maintenance of bills of materials (BOMs) on the MRP/ERP system.

Our client grows, prepares and packs fresh vegetables and they are currently experiencing increased volumes of work to supply the major supermarkets. This has created the need for an additional Technical Assistant/Administrator to begin work immediatley on a temporary basis with a view to becoming a permanent position in the future.
The role involves working closely with the technical and Quality teams, preparing specifications for products for the major supermarkets. We are currently looking for a part-time production assistant to join a busy and well established publishing company in Peterborough, producing a range of high quality Publications. We're looking for someone on a temporary basis for up to 15 hours a week, with the potential to become a permanent, part-time member of the team next year.
We are looking for someone dedicated and organised - someone who can keep their calm amidst many deadlines
A brief overview of the job follows, together with desirable IT and personal skills:
Duties will include Flatplans (liaise with Sales/Editorial/Design), weekly flatplan meeting - to ensure everyone is kept up-to-date and that any problems or queries can be highlighted Processing, proofing and chasing adverts for display and recruitment
Creating advertisement for recruitment advertisers
Processing, chasing and proofing showcase bookings for all publications
Processing, chasing and proofing product features bookings for all publications
Liaise with clients/design agencies over all copy issues
Ensure all inserts are correct for all publications
Create running lists for ads to be used by Design
Liaise with printers over schedules and deadlines
Maintain schedules and ensure deadlines are adhered to - make sure that they work for all departments involved
Collate and proof read all Classified and Recruitment copy, and update relevant paperwork
Proof display pages before they are sent to the printers, then check printers proof
Keep job bags up-to-date with office copies for each publication
Keep web pages up to date with any amends from clients/internal enquiries
