" Input sales invoices onto Sage
" Input subcontractor and supplier invoices onto Sage
" Resolve all invoice queries with subcontractors and suppliers
" Calculate VAT payments and refunds timely to avoid any penalties
" Print out remittance sheets from Sage
" Print out creditors statements for sending out to creditors on a timely basis
" Reconcile the company bank account
" Make payments to subcontractors and supplies at the end of each month taking into account the company cash flow, credit terms and CIS regulations.
" Print out debtors statements every Thursday and pass to the company secretary.
" Print out creditors statement on the third week over every month
" Print out management accounts on the third week of every month
" File invoices in the "unpaid" or "paid" file as appropriate and re-file as appropriate
" Take incoming calls to the office if no other office personnel are present
" Complete all necessary works needed from time to time by our company accountants
" Promote the success of the company

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with supervisory experience looking for the next step up in terms of career within FMCG manufacturing environment.
Our client is one of the UK's most successful manufacturers of disposable products, providing innovative, highly decorative tissue and chemical products to major retailers and over 1000 independent distributors in the UK and European markets. We currently have two opportunities for experienced Engineering Leaders to support our fast-paced production facility.
As a key member of the plant leadership team you will supervise one of our shift engineering teams ensuring effective day to day support to our high-speed production lines, reacting to immediate and planned preventative maintenance (PPM's), including rectifying breakdowns, maintaining and repairing equipment and components, strips and rebuilds. Working closely with the management team to ensure efficient working practices and maximised productivity and quality, whilst supporting continuous improvement and the policies, goals and objectives of the Company.
You must be able to demonstrate technical competence, with experience of mechanical engineering preferably within a manufacturing/processing/packaging environment. Some electrical experience would be advantageous.
To succeed in this challenging role, you will need to have drive, enthusiasm and a pro-active approach, being confident in working on you own initiative, with first-class fault finding and diagnostic "cause and effect" skills. You will also be expected to identify improvements to new and existing machinery.
The ideal candidate will be HND qualified having gained experience in the manufacturing/FMCG industry, and will be quality, business and customer focused with a track record of delivering positive results. It goes without saying that you will be literate and numerate with an excellent eye for detail. You should be a genuine team player having flair for encouraging and motivating your team to work accurately under pressure within tight time constraints as this is imperative to the role.
Although primarily this is a day shift position, a flexible attitude to working hours and shift patterns will be required.
Due to the location of the site and shift times, own transport may be beneficial. There is free on-site parking, a subsidised canteen, and you will have access to the discounted company shop.

Duties will include loading and unloading lorries, stacking produce on pallets and loading lines.
Some non fork lift work, requiring lifting of heavy objects may also be required.
The hours of work are:
Mon - Fri on a shift pattern of either 08.00 - 17.00 or 11.00 - finish (approx 21.00) with alternate Saturday and Sundays on a rota basis 08.00 - finish (usually mid afternoon). Flexibility on the above hours will be required due to the nature of the business.
